Good News

So I was going to put in the title line 'good news and bad news', but then I decided that all lose is good news! So while I didn't make my goal of reaching my pre-pregnancy weight by today, I am however only 8/10 of a pound away from it!!! So here is to a new year with new goals, of which I will achieve them all!!!

forgot about tuna!

I made the best tuna sandwich today. I had made it before I was pregnant, you know since you aren't suppose to have tuna during pregnancy. Anyway, it was wonderful! you take tuna (packed in water of course) and cut some onions up. Cook it in a pan in 1/2 TBSP of olive oil. Add seasoning as you prefer, I like garlic salt! Now I used to add a piece of provolone cheese, but I didn't have any so I just put it on some bread and it was great as it was and less points with out the cheese. Total points - 5! You need to use the bread that is only 1 point for 2 slices (sara lee 45 calorie bread). Try it out and if you do let me know how you liked it!

I am planning on weighing in on Wednesday, but I am hoping they will let me just weigh in but not count it. I will go back on Saturday for my real weigh in.

I'm back...

Ok y'all, I didn't post last week because I was very disappointed at my weigh in. I gained 4 pounds last week, blah. I really did not care about loosing weight that week and to be honest I still am a little in the "I don't care" mode. But this weeks weigh in was a lot better, I lost 3.8! So I have 2.2 to go to reach my pre-pregnancy goal. I am going to weigh in on Wednesday morning, although I am hoping they will let me just weigh in and not count it because I don't want to count it until Saturday when I go to weigh in then. I really want to get back into my kick butt mode so I bought a new points calculator at my WW meeting that I can keep in my purse all the time and I am thinking about doing a class at my church called Body and Soul. It is a work out class to Christian music. Anyways, please pray that I can do good over the next few days, I would really like to reach my goal by Wednesday.

Black Eyed Peas...the food not the band!

I love black eyed peas! I am so totally serious. I had them for dinner last night (an entire can by myself, well Justin had a small bite on his plate, but he is not fond of the BEP's) and I had an entire can for lunch today! They are only 5.5 points per can and they are on the Weight Watcher list of filling foods to eat! It is cold outside and this is a perfect meal or side to have during this cold weather!

I am thrilled!

I lost 4.2 pounds this week!!!! I can't believe it. I was so thrilled about it. Look what a little tracking (ok a lot of tracking) can do! Now my next goal is to keep tracking and work out too. I didn't work out this week (well ok I do count swawing with Ian in my arms as activity points). Keep praying for me. I have only 2.2 pounds to meet my pre-pregnancy goal by December 31st. Totally do-able. I look forward to my next weigh in!

I did it!

I am so excited! I counted my points everyday for the past week! I did it, I did it! I can't wait to weigh in tonight! Even if I don't lose I am so very proud of myself for sticking with the program for 7 days in a row! Stay tuned for my results!

4 days down 3 to go!

Day 4 of counting my points all day long is complete! It has been easier than I thought. Although on Sunday I was out in the gathering at our church during the service (Ian was fussy) and I was starving. Well my friend Haley had a mix of animal crackers and some other stuff but I said no because I didn't know the point value! Aren't you proud of me? :) It really has been easier. I guess the challenge that our WW leader gave us was all I needed! Now I will just need to continue with the tracking my points. It probably doesn't help that I am sitting here watching The Food Network. Oh well. I don't have any more points left for today but that is ok since it is after 9 pm. Well I have to go, Ian is fussy. Keep praying for me!

What makes holiday memories?

So as I was heading home from my weight watcher meeting tonight I started thinking about what makes a holiday good. Use to I would have said first the food. But now I say the family or friends that you surround your self with and the things you do that day. While eating is a part of your day it shouldn't be the most memorable part of it. I realized that on Thanksgiving this year I didn't eat stuffing! I love stuffing, and you know what? I had a fantastic day! Yes a fantastic day with out eating stuffing!!! So food should not make your holiday. Memories should make your holiday, family should make your holiday and friends should make your holiday!

By the way I lost 1.2 pounds this week! I was so excited. Please pray for me this week as our WW leader challenged us to track our food points and our activity points. We are to bring our tracker to the meeting next week to be entered into a drawing to win something. I really want to do this. Not just because I could win something but because I want to get to my pre-pregnancy weight by the end of the year. I have only 6.4 pounds to go!

Biggest Loser...

Do any of you watch Biggest Loser on NBC? I am so addicted to it. It puts me in the kick butt mood! Every time I watch it I want to go and run 10 miles. Then reality hits and I remember that I have a husband and child to take care of in addition to the fact that I am so out of shape I would probably kill over after mile 1. :) But I will say that it really does inspire me to do better with my weight loss. I woke up yesterday with plans to do DDR but then decided to lay on the couch instead. That is when I remembered the lyrics to the Biggest Loser theme song:

And I thought to myself "Is laying on the couch making me proud or depressed?" That is when I decided to get up and dance! I danced for about 25 minutes!!! I couldn't believe myself. I was so worn out after that. I was pretty much worn out the entire rest of the day! But it was well worth it. Today I am planning on going on a walk with my friend at the mall. Then tonight is the dreaded weigh in. I will let you know what happens tomorrow. Wish me luck! (I think prayer would be better).

Success in gaining...

Most weeks I would not be happy about gaining. However, this week I was pretty happy with my results! Why? Well it was Thanksgiving and I only gained 6/10 of a pound! While I didn't count my points on Thanksgiving I did measure out what I ate so that I wouldn't eat too much. Oh and get this, Justin and I woke up at like 6:40 in the morning and did Dance Dance Revolution for like 15 minutes!!! Also something that helped is that on Friday I hung out with my two older nieces, Kylie and Kaitlynn, and we went to the park and walked around for a while. It was such great weather. So I would say this week I for sure had success in gaining!

7 pounds to go...

So this week I lost 1.4 pounds! I was glad I did considering I had a root canal done (twice on one tooth, don't ask why). Anyway, this puts me at only needing to loose about 7 pounds in order to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! My goal is to be there by the end of the year. With Thanksgiving this week I will need to work extra hard.

DDR...It's back!

We pulled out our DDR yesterday afternoon! For those of you who are just now joining us DDR is Dance Dance Revolution. Yes you heard me correctly. It is a great work out and so much fun. Justin has been wanting to do this for a while, I just wasn't ready. But yesterday we put Ian in his swing and danced away. I totally won (just kidding I don't really know who won). I can't wait to do this more and lose more weight! Some time I will have to put a short video of us doing DDR.

better week...

So I must admit that last week I didn't post because, well I had a really bad week. I gained 5.6 pounds! I know, I know. Anyways this week was better. I lost 4.6! I really needed that. I think if I would have gained more I would have been even less interested in doing weight watchers. But that was just the boost I needed to keep going! So keep praying for me. I need it!

Lost...

Well I lost 2/10 of a pound this week! At first I was a little disappointed, but as I tell everyone else when they loose that amount, at least I didn't gain! Here's to another week of losers!

Good news

I weighed in tonight and guess what? I lost 5 pounds! I was not expecting that much. I was hoping for good results, but that was awesome!!! I really did good since Monday on my tracking points and I went on a walk this week. I guess it paid off. I am on my way to goal weight!

Cooking...

Well tonight I cooked for the first time since Ian was born! Well ok I have made frozen things like pizza's, but tonight I cooked chicken, veggies and baked potato! It was very yummy and fun to be back in the kitchen again. Last night I made a skillet meal by TGI Friday's and it was yummy too! I would highly recommend those skillet meals (except for the pea's that were in it, it was great). Also, this week I started tracking my points, which is good. I will go weigh in tomorrow and see if it has paid off. I also went on a walk yesterday with my friend Misti. That was fun because we both took our little ones with us and were walking around the neighborhood with our strollers! Fun times! Well I will post tomorrow or Friday morning about the results of my weigh in. Please pray that I will continue to track my points and walk (even if it is around Wal-Mart).

gained...

Well I gained this week, 2.8 pounds. But that is ok, I was prepared for that because we ate out for lunch and dinner while Justin's parents were here. I could have been better and counted my points, but I didn't and I was ok with that. But this week I am back to tracking my points and we will try to (weather permitting) get out and walk. I can't do any other form of exercise until my 6 week check up with my doctor. Well here's to another week!

to track or not to track, that is the question...

Well tomorrow is weigh in day and I am pretty sure that I gained weight. I am ok with that because it is my fault, I didn't track my points but maybe a few times for breakfast but then after that stopped. We ate out a lot while Justin's parents were here and I didn't want to have to worry about not enjoying myself. Not that I can't enjoy myself when I count my points, but I am stressed enough with having a baby, pumping milk for him and trying to get enough sleep. Please pray that I will be able to get back on track with tracking. I really want to loose again.

I'm back!

Well I have started back to weight watchers! I have 15 pounds to loose in order to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Not to bad I suppose. I am looking forward to getting back in the swing of loosing weight. I get 41 points because I am breast feeding! Craziness! Well I will keep this blog updated as best I can. Having a baby makes it harder to get to the computer as much. Keep me in your prayers please!

3 weeks late...

We did it!!!! I weighed in tonight and I am at 63.8 pounds lost!!!!!!!! So now I am 3.8 pounds into my next goal!!! Thanks for all of your prayers and support. I couldn't have done this with out it. So I really mean that WE did it!!!

I lost 8/10 of a pound this week! Whoo Hoo only 8/10 left to go! Please keep me in your prayers this week as I have been struggling to keep working out. I am just tired and haven't had a desire to lately. But I have kept track of my points, which is good, I am drinking my water and eating the right stuff.

closer

So to everyone's disappointment I gave in to the donut sticks yesterday. I did count the points which meant for dinner I ate 2 point veggie soup. But that is ok, I don't feel like that was a huge set back. I did recognize that I like to have something cakey and sweet and not just candy sweet. (I hope that makes sense). So I brought to work with me today my WW chocolate cakes,1 point each.

I lost 1.2 pounds this week! So I have 1.6 to go. I am going to give myself 2 weeks to do this, since I average 1 pound a week. Which means soon I will be setting a new goal. I am thinking about doing 20 more pounds lost, which would put me at 80, by May 29th. That would allow me to lose 1 pound per week. And instead of making my end date at the end of the month I am making if for the last Thursday of the month so it is on my actual weigh in day so there won't be any disappointment about not being able to weigh in, like on December 31st!

A little plug for weight watchers...Now is the time to join. There is currently no registration fee! It is really a great program. If anyone has any questions about it let me know.

Oh my goodness! I really want something to eat right now and nothing that I have sounds good. I am tempted to go down to the vending monster. I could get something like pretzels, but I am afraid that I will go with something like chocolate donuts. AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!
